American Indian College Fund

The American Indian College Fund has a variety of resources about choosing a college, admissions, scholarships, etc.

 

Get Prepared! See what you can do in each grade on the Select Dakota website to be prepared for college. Here is another brief senior checklist.

 

SDMyLife is used in middle school and high school. Students take interest inventories and work through lessons to find careers that fit their interests. Students can also look into colleges and practice for ACT tests through the Method Test Prep option.

 

College and Career Resource Guide

  • This site has checklists and resources for students, parents, school staff, etc. It can help understand financial aid, general finances, college applications and other processes, as well as help prepare for entering the workforce.

Letters of Recommendation

Plan ahead for letters of recommendation! Use this data sheet, or something similar and provide a copy to the person writing your letter. Also, make sure you give them a page about requirements for the scholarship, job, opportunity, etc. and time to write your letter. Remember to provide time for the recommender to write your letter well before the due date.
