I am so excited to be back at the Timber Lake School teaching JK this year.  It is going to be a great year.  I will be starting my 14th year in education.  I started my teaching career in the Timber Lake School in 2003 and taught 1st grade, Elementary Principal,3rd grade, MS English and HS volleyball coach before taking a break for 7 years and I came back to teaching last year as the JK teacher for Timber Lake.  I am super excited to get back into the classroom again this year.

Family:

I live in Timber Lake with my husband, Joel and our 3 boys - Evan, Owen and Isaac.  Joel is the computer guy at the school.  Evan loves everything tech related and Golf.  Owen enjoys football, basketball and track.  Isaac loves all sports, has too many sports favorite players to name and can't wait until he is big enough to participate.  I can't forget about our dog Charlie.  She is a shih tzu who loves her human brothers, loves playing fetch with a ball but never wants to bring it back to us and is scared of thunderstorms and fireworks.  She has a mean bark if you knock on our door but wouldn't hurt a soul.   This summer my boys did lawn mowing for a summer job and that kept all us very busy.  We have an above ground pool in our backyard and we enjoy being in that in the summer.

Educational Vision

I am pleased to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year.  I am looking forward to having your child as a student.  JK is such a fun year but with a lot of learning and growing that needs to take place.  We will be doing that learning and growing through many wonderful learning activities.  In order to have a fun year, one of my most important goals is to create a family of learners in my classroom.  I am committed to creating a classroom environment where your child is valued, trusted, respected and is an integral part of our family of learners.  In order to accomplish this, I have planned many activities to cultivate this atmosphere of learners where I will demonstrate for them but they will be expected to reciprocate with value, trust and respect to me and the other students.  It is my hope that you will support and encourage this same vision and behaviors at home.
